Who does the Invest East Investment Readiness project help?
SME’s from any sector based in Norfolk or Suffolk. The SME’s should be looking to grow and see that taking on investment will be a part of that growth plan.
What does the project do?
The Investment Readiness programme will take SME’s through a series workshops, seminars, one to one mentoring and business support to get businesses in the right shape to be able to take on investment to help them to grow. It could be that businesses are looking for investment in the short term, or it could be that they would like to take on investment in the future so would like to be prepared early.
Will you get me an investor lined up?
No, but the Investment Readiness Programme will bring you into contact with a range of investors which will widen your contacts.
Can you help me access other kinds of investment?
The Investment Readiness Programme delivery team will help you decide whether grants, debt or equity would be right for your business.
Can you advise me on legal matters, investment agreements?
The Investment Readiness Programme will explain many of the terms and discuss matters which SMEs will need to consider as part of the investment process and provide access to mentors in a variety of fields, including legal experts.
Can you help me develop my products?
The Investment Readiness programme will provide support, advice, access to mentors, experts and investment professionals to assist your business to get in the right shape to grow and take on investment. Mentors and advice will be tailored to the needs of each business on the programme.
Can you give me advice on intellectual property?
The Investment Readiness Programme will give SME’s access to mentors in a variety of fields including IP.
I’m based outside Norfolk and Suffolk, can you still help me?
The programme is for SME’s based in Norfolk and Suffolk, but if you are outside of this or have plans to open an office in Norfolk or Suffolk please talk to us.

Yes, the Investment Readiness Programme is for businesses at any stage that have plans for growth.
How are you funded?
We are part funded from the England European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) - as part of the European Structural and Investment Funds Growth Programme 2014-2020 - and part funded by Norfolk County Council, Suffolk County Council, New Anglia Local Enterprise Partnership and the University of East Anglia.
Are your services really free?
Yes, completely free. We will not charge for any of the support we give you, or take commission from anyone. We will not take an equity stake in your business. This means we can be completely impartial and honest, giving you the very best advice for your specific situation.
